The second installment of the just-started-but-potentially-endless series: Office Reading Nooks. Thanks to KRL for taking the photo and to our esteemed publisher for humoring us.
Wow, how did you get up there?

What I really need is a life…a job.
I want to take a poll in my office one day to see how many of us have had this exact moment. In HarperAudio alone, at least half of us have.
College dining hall vs diner run by storybook characters, no difference right?

Gorgeous. Whenever I see tattoos like this I can’t help but think of Rachel Morgan’s pack tattoo.
No, of course I’m not counting down the days until I get to listen to the next audiobook…nope, not at all. It’s not like Trent and Rachel are one of my OTPs or anything.

I love you.
So an e-reader is like a Tardis, right? It’s a library on the inside.

In the early nineties, Pizza Hut sponsored “Book It!” to promote reading. For every ten books you read, you get a certificate for a free, one-topping pizza…it turns out there is no greater pleasure than reading for pizza. No longer do you feel guilty about eschewing the “real” world for these fantasy zones. Now you have an unassailable, American motivation; you’re a breadwinner. Literally.

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY BABY-SITTER’S CLUB BOOKS I READ FOR PIZZA?! Also the Thoroughbred series. Oh god, what if my love of reading is actually because of my love of carbs?

I loved the Thoroughbred series! They and the Boxcar Children practically took over my bookshelf. This is one of those moments when I really regret not growing up in the US… I could have had so much free pizza.

So true. And this probably explains why I have a hardcover by my bed for when I’m about to go to sleep, my e-reader for when I’m commuting, and my iPod loaded with audiobooks for when I’m cooking or running.
If I’m lucky I can get through 1.5 lifetimes of books this way.
